How to Measure Yourself
Finding your right size starts with accurate measurements. Here’s a simple guide to help you measure at home. All you need is a flexible measuring tape, a mirror, and a friend if possible for extra accuracy.
General Tips
- Wear lightweight clothing or undergarments when measuring.
- Keep the tape measure snug but not tight—it should sit comfortably against your body.
- Stand up straight and breathe normally (don’t hold your breath).
Key Measurements
Bust / Chest
Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape level across your back. Make sure it’s not slipping down or riding up.
Waist
Find your natural waist—usually the narrowest part of your torso, just above your belly button. Wrap the tape measure around this spot. Don’t suck in; keep it natural.
Hips
Stand with your feet together. Measure around the fullest part of your hips (this is usually 7–9 inches below your waist). Keep the tape level.
Shoulder to Shoulder
Measure straight across your upper back from the tip of one shoulder bone to the other.
Sleeve Length
With your arm relaxed at your side, measure from the top of your shoulder down to your wrist bone.
Length (for abayas and dresses)
Stand tall and measure from the top of your shoulder (near the base of your neck) down to your desired hemline—ankle, floor, or mid-calf depending on the style.
Pro Tips
- For skirts: focus on waist and hips.
- For vests and tops: bust and shoulder measurements are most important.
- Each product page includes a size chart specific to that design—compare your numbers to the chart to find your best fit.
- When in doubt between sizes, we recommend sizing up for comfort and ease of movement.
